Alex has 39 years of experience in civil litigation and particularly all areas of insurance related claims. After practicing as a partner specializing in insurance defence for 34 years, Alex joined our firm in 2008 and brought his wealth of experience to an already well-established insurance practice.

Alex has argued cases before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Divisional Court. He has appeared in both jury and non-jury trials in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

He has conducted a number of mediations and arbitrations before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.

Alex graduated from Lakehead University with his Honours Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) in 1977.

In 1980, Alex graduated from University of Windsor and obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree. Alex was called to the Bar for the Province of Ontario in 1982.
